CfY 2025-2026 LeaderCorps Students Lead Recruitment, Peer-Support Circles, Community Service Projects

Each year, up to 10 students join CfY's official student leadership team, LeaderCorps, to help shape the CfY student experience by providing program feedback, helping to plan curriculum and events, and leading special projects - and our 2025-26 LeaderCorps team has gone above and beyond in their efforts this year!

At Franklin High School, LeaderCorps students Chloe and Ruwayda assisted in our Spring Duos recruitment efforts by facilitating four in-class presentations sharing information about CfY with students. With Chloe and Ruwayda's help, CfY has welcomed over 40 new and returning students to our 2026 Duos cohort.

CfY volunteers build a transitional tiny home with Sound Foundations NW.

LeaderCorps students PK, Luis, and Olive have identified volunteer opportunities for CfY students, staff, mentors, and supporters, and have led projects at Seattle Area Feline Rescue and Sound Foundations NW, where the CfY volunteer team worked hard to create a transitional tiny home.

Alongside Masters of Social Work Interns Matt and Kristina, LeaderCorps students Qing, Joe, and Jake have been facilitating and leading Mental Health Healing Circles - mental health support groups for mentors and students that take place before monthly Community Workshops. Together, students and MSW Interns create a safe, supportive space where CfY participants can explore mental health topics and healing practices in community with one another.

We're incredibly proud of the ways that our LeaderCorps students are going above and beyond to strengthen CfY programming and serve their community this year! Thank you, CfY LeaderCorps team, for your hard work!
