Outreach Manager

RECRUITMENT OF MENTORS, TUTORS, VOLUNTEERS
Goal: Recruit 90 new mentors, 20 tutors and 20 volunteers per year

  • Develop relationships with public, partners and media
  • Network
  • Liaison with current mentors to set up meetings at their places of work
  • Develop speaking opportunities
    • Manage speakers bureau of mentors and volunteers
DEVELOPMENT
  • Oversee individual giving campaign to create new contacts and maximize existing relationships
  • Develop relationships in corporations to increase volunteer recruitment and corporate giving
  • Provide fund development training and oversight to board members and staff
  • Research
    • Potential individual donors and cultivate existing donors to pursue the development of an individual donor base
    • Research potential foundation, corporate and government funders
  • Develop donor recognition strategies
  • Develop donors letters
  • Orchestrate thank you letters to donors from students
  • Develop opportunities for donors and prospective donors to see the program
  • Research grant opportunities and write grant proposals
MARKETING
  • Oversee, manage and co-develop image and marketing materials to create public identity to include website, newsletter, e-newsletter, brochures, T-shirts
PUBLIC RELATIONS
  • Develop relations with media: TV, radio, newspaper, and magazines to support image, fundraising and volunteer recruitment
  • Develop public relations materials to enhance and further CfY's community image
  • Respond to media requests for information
FUND RAISING
  • Oversee two annual fundraisers: wine tasting and breakfast
  • Coordinate and manage staff and volunteers for events
